hhhEEEEEEEEh Yaaahhhhhh! Hey look, I made another pencil test:

The Perfect Dive
I finally got around to finishing it! I ended up taking this animation further than I intended when I first started it, but that is largely because I was learning the new software and wanted to test it out in each stage of a 2D production. It certainly has plenty of room for improvement, but it is definitily my best 2D animation to date:
I’m glad I got this one out of the way. I originally wanted to set myself up to do 2D so I could just do a whole bunch of quick pencil tests to study motion and get better at animation in general; but having started this project, I felt that I should finished before moving on, which ended up mentally blocking me from doing any of it. So hopefully I’ll start posting some of them-there pencil tests in the near future.
Off a Diving Board
Pencil test #2!
Often as I go through life and am about to do some action such as riding a bike, juping on a trampoline, or going off a diving board, my mind flashes to me the worse possible thing that could happen. Does this happen to anyone else? or is it just my over active imagination. It usually doesn’t scare me, but on the contrary makes me laugh.
I had so much fun with this pencil test, I think I may take it a step further and clean it up. (we’ll see if I make it to the coloring stage).
Traditional Animation
Build a Snowman
Mouse Trap
Penguin Flip
Plastic Animation Paper
Ok, I’m going to try something here. Let’s see if I can successfully connect a youtube file to my blog… (I am now hosting my own video)
This is an quick pencil test I did one day to try out a free animation program I found on the internet called Plastic Animation Paper. It was a lot of fun, but hard to get any clean drawing made. I use a 4×5 wacom tablet, which means that if you take into consider the tablet to monitor ratio, I was effectively drawing this little dude on the surface area of a postage stamp.
Oh, and I should probably mention that he is jumping over a canyon. I just wan’t able to use multible layers with the program to add a background.
