  1. This is absolutely amazing.
Do you sell any like these?
I have never seen such a perfect model done like this before.
    Simply incredible!

  2. Thanks so much for your feedback!

This was my first attempt at doing something like this, and very happy with how it turned out.

Unfortunately, I don’t know as I could produce something like this very cost effectively for sale. I’ll certainly let you know if that changes in the future :)

  3. That is AWESOME!!! My wife and I own a Casita. You have given me the beginnings of a very, very long project :-)

  4. Being a model railroader and owing a Casita I have thought of doing this, but not with a 3D printer. After I see yours I think I will just keep modeling in HOn3 and leave the trailer models to you. Great Job from a fellow modeler. John L

  5. Awesome job, looks like you put a lot of work into it, any chance you’d be willing to share your model files to try printing on my new Prusa MK3?

  6. Thanks Brian! I really lost track of time with this project; my guess would be somewhere between 40-60hrs.

Haha, thanks John! 3D printing seems like cheating compared to the more traditional methods :) It certainly is a powerful tool though, and I really enjoyed the process from digital design to finishing the physical model.

  7. Ooh, a Prusa MK3, super jealous! Thanks Jonathan! I’ve been thinking about setting up a Thingiverse.com account to share my models, but just haven’t gotten around to it yet. I’ll be sure to post links on this site when I do :)

  8. I want a mini Casita! is it already programmed and just print it and can be assembled like a model? Please advise.

  9. James would you share the files?

Best looking Casita Model I have ever seen.
I have the same Casita in full size. One of the best trailers made.

  10. Thanks Mark! I’ve been surprised by the number of requests for a kit. I’ll have to think more about doing that in the future :D

I appreciate the compliment Dan! Ha! I had seen that article, and it definitely made me smile after having just build my tiny model :) Really amazing to think what can be done with this method of fabrication.

  11. The quality of this model blows my mind! Great job James!!

I was actually searching for a paper model copy of the Casita when I came across your work.

Please add my name to the list of folks who would be interested in learning more about you sharing the files for this build!!

  12. Hello, James. I would love to purchase a little casita model from you. I love how you did the entire thing inside and out…i am wondering if you made it with one of those 3d printers? if so, do you have (or would you sell) the plans? i am just dying over here..Thanks so much for sharing.

  13. Well done on this James. Your attention to detail is really amazing. If you ever decide to sell them I would be interested, even if it’s just the shell.

  14. James, great work! I would also be interested in purchasing a mini Casita. I hope you’re selling them now!
